Atlas FC is a club originally from the city of Guadalajara, Jalisco. Founded on August 15, 1916, the club is named in honor of the Greek mythological titan Atlas, as one of the founders, Juan José "Lico" Cortina, commented, "we felt we were the support of the world"....
The Zorros will be part of the East 3 group in this Leagues Cup 2023, together with New York City Football Club and Toronto FC. Atlas arrives at the tournament looking to extend its record, which has been growing recently with a two-time LIGA MX championship and a Campeón de Campeones (Champion of Champions).
