Leagues Cup 2026 Disciplinary Committee Decisions
On August 11, the Leagues Cup Organizing Committee announced the Leagues Cup 2026 Disciplinary Committee decisions following Phase One's second round of matches, played between August 7-9, 2026.
- Following the 21st minute of the Real Salt Lake vs. Atlante match, Atlante Head Coach Miguel Ernesto Herrera Aguirre was issued a red card for using offensive, insulting, or abusive language and/or actions. In accordance with Article 4.2.C of the Leagues Cup 2026 Competition Regulations, the Disciplinary Committee has issued a two-match suspension to Herrera.
- Following the conclusion of the Charlotte FC vs. Atlas FC match, Charlotte FC player Pep Biel Mas Jaume was issued a red card for using offensive, insulting, or abusive language and/or actions. In accordance with Article 4.2.C of the Leagues Cup 2026 Competition Regulations, the Disciplinary Committee has issued a one-match suspension to Biel.
- Following the 74th minute of the Columbus Crew vs. Pachuca match, Pachuca player Sergio Damian Barreto was issued a red card after receiving two (2) yellow cards. In accordance with Article 4.2.C of the Leagues Cup 2026 Competition Regulations, the Disciplinary Committee has issued a one-match suspension to Barreto.
On August 7, the Leagues Cup Organizing Committee announced the Leagues Cup 2026 Disciplinary Committee decisions following Phase One's first round of matches, played between August 4-6, 2026.
- Following the 69th minute of the Austin FC vs. Club Tijuana match, Club Tijuana player Iván Oswaldo Tona Olmeda was issued a red card for engaging in violent conduct. In accordance with Article 4.2.C of the Leagues Cup 2026 Competition Regulations, the Disciplinary Committee has issued a two-match suspension to Tona.
- Following the 78th minute of the Chicago Fire FC vs. Necaxa match, Necaxa Head Coach Martín Varini Dizioli was issued a red card for using offensive, insulting, or abusive language or actions. In accordance with Article 4.2.C of the Leagues Cup 2026 Competition Regulations, the Disciplinary Committee has issued a one-match suspension to Varini.
