Minnesota United FC 1-1 San Jose Earthquakes

After conceding late on, the Loons’ playoff hopes now hang by a thread, their six-match winless run having seen them slip from contention, three points adrift of ninth with just two matches left to play.

Houston Dynamo FC 0-0 FC Dallas

Despite their mid-week exertions in winning the U.S. Open Cup, the hosts took this Copá Téjas match seriously, playing a strong side at home to Dallas. Neither side was able to break the other’s resistance, though, and it was honors even at full time.

St. Louis CITY SC 4-1 Sporting Kansas City

The expansion side made history as they sealed top spot in the Western Conference thanks to a second-half flurry, netting all four goals in the span of just twelve minutes as João Klauss continued his impressive return from injury with his fourth and fifth goals in September.

Nashville SC 0-0 Seattle Sounders FC

Joe Willis made three saves and the league’s best defense kept another clean sheet at home, having all but secured their place in the playoffs.
