New York City Football Club has now been in existence for ten years. Since their inaugural season, they have achieved relatively recent successes. Two victories in the past two years in the Campeones Cup and the MLS Cup has marked an upward trajectory on the pitch, yet their form this season in MLS has been disappointing.
City currently sit third from bottom in the Eastern Conference of MLS after finishing third in 2022, having won five games, drawing 11 and losing eight. They will hope to use Leagues Cup 2023 as an opportunity to bounce back.
NYCFC will start their Leagues Cup journey against Atlas on July 24, at Citi Field, kicking off at 7:00PM ET
