Cruz Azul kick off their 2023 Leagues Cup campaign against Inter Miami on July 22 at DRV PNK Stadium. With an average age of 25, their roster is made up of Mexican, Uruguayan, Argentine and Colombian players. They are coached by Brazilian manager Ricardo “Tuca'' Ferretti.
Los Cementeros will be part of **South 3** in Leagues Cup 2023, along with Inter Miami and Atlanta United. The Mexicans come into the tournament positioned 18th place in the LIGA MX, after two matches played. Their main problem has been in front of goal, failing to score in their opening to LIGA MX fixtures - yet they have managed to concede four goals in that time.
