The most exciting moment of the 2023 Clausura has arrived. After plenty of surprises in the play-in round, the Liguilla begins today. Eight teams will be seeking the title and hoping to arrive in the best possible form for the 2023 Leagues Cup on July 21.
Santos vs. Monterey
First/second leg: May 10/13
It was a tremendous upset in the playoffs between Pachuca and Santos. Los Guerreros having finished in 13th place and eliminated Tuzos in a game with eight goals that went to penalties. For their part, Los Rayados were the best team in the tournament with 40 points from 13 wins, one draw and three losses.
Atlético de San Luis vs. Club América
First/second leg: May 10/13
Los Potosinos arrive after getting their place in the playoffs, after beating León 3-1 at a visit. In the case of América, they have gone seven games without defeat since they lost at home to Pachuca on Matchday 10. That was their only loss of the tournament, having finished second in the table.
Atlas vs. Chivas
First/second leg: May 11/14
It's a Clásico Tapatío in the quarterfinals! It will be the sixth time these teams have met in the Liguilla, after the Rojinegros eliminated El Rebaño Sagrado in the 2022 Clausura, in which they won the titles. Los Rojiblancos come into the tie having finished in third place and are on four victories in a row, three of which were at home, where they will close the tie.
Tigres vs. Toluca
First/second leg: May 11/14
This matchup will see the fourth and seventh placed sides clash after Tigres beat Puebla to earn their place in the Liguilla, having narrowly defeated them with a goal from Sebastián Córdova. Los Diablos, on the last day of the regular season, showed that they can be very dangerous with a 3-0 win against Necaxa.
