Major League Soccer returns after a midweek round of action with a full slate of fourteen games. Here’s our preview of four of the biggest matches:

Austin FC-Houston Dynamo FC

Off the back of four straight wins in all competitions, including two over LAFC, Houston head west to take on Austin in a Copa Tejas match. When the two met a month ago, Iván Franco hit a winner three minutes from time for Houston, but Austin are in good form themselves and having beaten Dallas in the week, will be looking to make it two straight against their fellow Texas sides.

Sporting Kansas City-Chicago Fire FC

Sporting Kansas City have shaken off a middling start to the season, and with just one loss in their last six, are one of the league’s form teams. Alan Pulido has been banging in the goals with six in his last four, while for the visitors Kei Kamara continues to defy expectations and age, the veteran having struck a late winner in Portland on Wednesday.

D.C. United-FC Cincinnati

The visitors have been imperious at home, winning all ten of their matches this season, but have found life on the road more difficult, with only three wins from eight. They might have better luck here against a home team who have won just once in five and have slipped out of the playoff positions.

New England Revolution-Toronto FC

The resurgent Revs are unbeaten in five, and on the back of two straight wins as they welcome Toronto. A win could see them move into second place, while the visitors are struggling this season, having won just once in six.
